Its funny to read my list of blogs right in a row… so many of my friends are living exciting lives that are worlds away from some of the others.  From new wives, to moms, to world travelers…. it is so enjoyable to read how in all of their lives the Lord is teaching them and glorifying Himself through them  Here are a few I would suggest following if you don’t already:

Rachel- http://doxologymine.blogspot.com/

Carley- http://carleysonaboat.blogspot.com/

Hannah-  http://schreinerhannah.blogspot.com/

This is strictly a design blog that I love!!!! and she isn’t a friend but we can consider her one- http://www.mintdesignblog.com/

Sorry that my blogging has been happening less and less, but junior year is busy, busy!

Chicago Diaries Part Duo

October 12, 2009

There really is no way that I could have had so much fun in a mini van with 7 other people except for with this group.  We all had so much fun in Chi during the past 4 days.  Thursday started of bright and early with a long long car ride to the north.  We met up with Scott and Ben at Wheaton and then went into the city for some pizza. Chicago was a little chilly, but so so great.  Friday was a little breakfast at EGG-clectic… we are talkin pumpkin pancakes that will knock your socks off.  (side note- this trip was pumpkin overload between the 2 loaves of pumpkin bread, pancakes, and several pumpkin spices).  We did all things Chicago like visiting the Bean.  Saturday was Wheaton Homecoming so we went to the game for a bit and let the runners fill up on carbs first at Einstein’s  Bagels and Panera Bread ten minutes later.  The most exciting part of the weekend was watching Lee, Beck, Scott, and this girl Christina run 26.2 miles through Chicago.  All of the spectators had such a good time cheering on World Vis and our friends.  It was so so cold when we got up at 5:30, but by the time they had finished it was such a beautiful day.  We were proud (“as a peach”- there is a possibility that this is a direct quote from Chet).  And then we loaded back up to the dirty South, land that I love.  It was a whirlwind, but we all had a great time.
