2 Blah 2 Blog

April 15, 2009

That middle school language is how I feel right now.  Whenever its grey outside… I also feel grey.  UGH.  Its an annoying thing, but I can’t seem to stop it.  I am pointed back to Scripture by my wonderful friend, Sophie….

Psalm 16-

Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.”

As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones,
in whom is all my delight.

The sorrows of those who run after  another god shall multiply;

their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out

or take their names on my lips.

The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;
you hold my lot.

 The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;

in the night also my heart instructs me.

I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

 Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being  rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
or let your holy one see corruption.

You make known to me the path of life;

in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

I love this passage.  It is one that will always remind me of this season of life.  Oh Sophomore Year!

Here is a photo that captures all the high points of my day so far-

In a couple minutes, I’m headed to Chet’s to make Pizza Calzones.  For some reason, I still haven’t made these here.  I’m so excited not only to eat them, but to also share the wealth.  Between Kait, Chet, and I- we have started a new tradition of cooking for each other whenever its possible.  We just know that we will pay the other back soon.  It has been really great and beneficial of our friendships and wallets.  I am so blessed by my relationship with these girls and so many other godly girls at Western.

And the 3 precious little plates were on sale at Kroger….. guess how much… SIXTY CENTS!  I paid $1.80 for 3 little plates.  They were on sale from Easter and I lucked out.  I wish there had been more and other sizes.  Its funny how something so insignificant can brighten my day.  I hope the sun comes out soon!!!!
